Jordan River Temple Open House

Image
We were able to take the kids through the Jordan River Temple today. This temple has been the temple Dustin and I have attended since we were married. It was nice to have it open again. We have enjoyed visiting other temples, but we will come home to this one!

Spring; New Beginnings

Image
Spring is officially here if you can catch bugs in your underwear, and things are blooming! I did something new this month too. I sold a house! I'm pretty excited. I'm learning new things. It's slow learning, but I'm learning. When you make a sale, you get to put a red sticker on the plat map. I've watched several be added on. today was my day!!

Prom 2018

Image
My boys told me they hate school dances and they would not go to them. Well, Aaron's story changed a couple weeks ago. Dustin and I were on a date with friends. We were waiting for our movie to start, and I got a text that said, " BTW, I'm going to prom." I was confused and looked who it was from. It was form Aaron. I showed Dustin. He was as confused as I was. Aaron has never talked about liking anyone, so I was absolutely curious! Her name is Angel and they have been friends since jr high. He knew how he wanted to ask her, he just needed some help. This was how he asked her: Then he filled her bedroom with dozens of red SOLO cups filled with candy. She said yes! Grace's date, Kayden, asked her to prom by filling her room with kisses that ask the question, "Will you go to prom with me?" We love chocolate in our house! She answered him by wrapping up pink balloons that she made look like pigs in a pink box. When he opened it, the pig...

Student of The Month

Image
It hass been years since I was able to go to an award assembly in the middle of the day. But, my new job allows that to be a possibility. Kate was nominated for Student of The Month in her PE class. She works hard and she's been focusing on being more active lately. I guess it has shown in her school class as well. Good job, Kate!

Jr High Registration...

Image
I took Rebecca to jr high registration this evening. Britten came with us. He had his shots for kindergarten earlier in the day. My last two are getting so big! They're both excited to be "big kids." But, I want them to be my "little kids" forever. But, I'm grateful they were both big enough to help me run after the medical forms that Britten needs for registration when we opened the car door and the wind picked them up and sent them everywhere. We recovered most of them, but I'm missing his immunization record.

I Passed!

I took my real estate license exam today. I wanted to take a test to just get me ready to know what I should focus studying on. To my surprise, i passed! First try!! I can't even tell you the excitement, pride, and shock I felt all at once. I called to tell Dustin and just broke out in tears. Our life has been crazy as I have been taking courses online and studying. I didn't know if it was all worth it. But, it was! It really was. I can do hard things!!

Snapshots of February

Image
I had quite a few pictures that I loved from this month. All having a little sentimental value, life lesson, or just being super cute. I just want to remember them for forever. 1) Britten is getting so big! He's 5 now, but he's starting to mature and be ready for school. He is learning what it means to choose the right, and understand he needs to! He loves army guys right now and my living room is a constant war zone! He and Becca have this love hate relationship. they fight like siblings, but they love being together! 2) We got a couple snapshots from Elder Merritt. He sent us Happy Valenine's greeting from the beach. And the other I know was just for me. he know's I like different photos. Here he is finishing up a hard day of proselyting.       3) I made dessert for my sister's invite to Sunday dinner. I forgot to grease the bundt pan.  I think most would've chosen to not take the cake, but I did. I messed up, but it was ...
