Prom 2019

Grace was planning on going stag this year to prom with her best friend Sam. But as it got closer, they were both asked. They were excited to go together. They went to Boondocks for the day date. She said it was a lot of fun with Dallin, Sam, and Parker. Then for dinner they went to Rodizio's. After dinner, they went ot the dance. 

Our Letter Board

I bought a letter board that I palnn on using with the new Come Follow Me curriculum. Britten came up with one all by himself:

He told me he thought of it because he loves Jesus, and he loves money...hahah!

I did want to place this thought here. We've seemed to be stuck in a rut and doing things without much success, so this hit home:

 I love that we can tailor the lessons to what’s needed for our family in our own unique circumstances. The story of Peter walking on water can resonate so many different ways with so many different people. We chose to focus on the aspect that the apostles were in the boat “toiling in rowing”(Mark 6:48). How many of us sit in the same situation “toiling in rowing”? Not really finding the success we are longing for. When Christ came, He said, “Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.” (Matt 14:27) Peter wanting reassurance asked to join Him, walking on the water. The Master said, “Come.” And Peter found a new way out of the storm. He began to walk on water. But fear overcame him and he started sinking. How many of us allow fear to hold us back? Fear of failure, fear of uncomfortable? I’m trying to teach my kids it’s ok to try something new. To have faith that they are capable of so much more than they know, ESPECIALLY with the help of the Master of all, Jesus Christ. Doing new things is scary, but if you want new outcomes, you’ve got to change the way you’re doing it.

Kites

We discovered that some of our children had never flown a kite!🤷‍♀️ Dustin came home from his work trip to Texas, and surprised them with their very own kites. Today was a perfect windy 🌬 day to fly a kite!
