Ace And The Rainbow Bridge

We had to do somethign today that was so hard. We knew it was coming. We talked about it as a family. We all cried over it as we made the decision to put Ace down. He has been sick for a while. He would have good days and bad. I wasn't able to go because I was writing a contract for a buyer that afternoon. Dustin brought Ace to me at the model so i could say my goodbyes. I should've just canceled the meeting. I think I will always regret not doing that.
It's weird not hearing his paws on the wood floor. It's weird not seeing his bed, or is food and water. That corner feels empty. It is empty! I know we'll get through it, but it's hard.
I miss my Acey!! But I really do believe we'll see him again. He's part of my family!!

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of all its beautiful colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows,
hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place.
There is always food and water and warm spring weather.
The old and frail animals are young again.
Those who were sick, hurt or in pain are made whole again.
There is only one thing missing,
they are not with their special person who loved them so much on earth.
So each day they run and play until the day comes
when one suddenly stops playing and looks up!
The nose twitches! The ears are up!
The eyes are staring and this one runs from the group!
You have been seen and when you and your special friend meet,
you take him in your arms and hug him.
He licks and kisses your face again and again -
and you look once more into the eyes of your best friend and trusting
pet.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together never again to be apart.

My Mom

I can write so much about this lady!! I am so grateful Sandra Louise is my mother. I am the 9th child of 11. I imagine some will think growing up with that many siblings you were overlooked. While it’s true that I may not have always been able to get what I wanted, when I wanted, how I wanted, I can say with absolute certainty, “I’m better for it. I’m grateful for it!” Because of my mom, I knew how to be patient, how to be kind, how to stand up for myself and what I believe in. I was taught to work hard for what I wanted, see another’s perspective and don’t be so quick to assume(we all know what assuming does๐Ÿ˜‚ heard it every week growing up), and not to point fingers, because when you do, there’s 3 more pointing back at you! I was challenged to be good, clean, honest, and accountable. While I’m not always perfect at those things, she loves me anyway and encourages me to keep trying. Because that’s exactly what mothers do. Happy Mother’s Day, Mom! I love you! ๐Ÿ’•

A Slithery Friend

Britten was able to bring his class pet home for the weekend. Sam the Rose Springs Rattle Snake came and went on adventures with us. He came to Home Depot, he helped plant flowers, we gave him breakfast!! Life's always more fun with a little friend! And Mom was just grateful he was stuffed!!

Kate Is 15

Time always sneaks up on me! How can this girl be 15 today?!

She invited a few friends to go bowling. Thanks Malori, Kali, and Kinsley for celebrating with us!

She loves softball, basketball, super hero movies, sass, broccoli, and bananas. She is smart, talented, kind, sassy, and is beautiful inside and out!

Happy Birthday, Katie Bug!!!
