Thanksgiving

 We had a lovely Thanksgiving. 

We had Grandma and Granpa Merritt, and Shandi and Jaren and family over for a feast! We stuffed ur bellies on thei wintery, fall day. We got so much snow!! I beleive it's about 14''!!

Our Marriage is 23 Today!

 23 years today! Britten wanted to know what an anniversary was. I tried to explain it was like a birthday for the day you were married. I told him our marriage was 23 years old. When I said it like that, i realized we are still babies in this marriage department. I'm so grateful we have spent the last 23 years learning and growing together. We've gained experience, 6 kids, and a daughter-in-law. I/m excited for what's in store! 

Chick Pick for Grace

 Grace was able to go to Chick Pick (girl's choice) with a group of friends. She had arough year last year and had to find new friends. I'm so grateful this group has taken her in! 

43 Years on This Earth

 I"m 43 today. I feel old, so what I really wanted for my birthday was a day that felt like 10 years ago. I know that's weird, but my sould craved it. I tried to give that to myself. I wanted to wake up and help get kids ready for school, and take them to school, then come home and clean my house. I did all those things. Then to make it more real, I went and visited co workers at the daycare where I worked for so long. We visited and caught up on life. I came home before the kids got home and did some laundry. My kids got home and it was nice to welcome them. I did sneak in a chiropractic appointment. We finished the night by going to dinnere and then coming home and hanging out. They sang, "Happy Birthday," cut cake, ate ice cream. Simple things! But that's what made it so great. Hoping it's an indicator of this year of 43!
