Dustin built me a beautiful garden box. We finally planted some things in it. This year we planted:
green onions
green beans
peas
watermelon
cantaloupe

I haven't been very good at family history. I know it's important. I just find other things needing to be done. I do have a goal to be better. I finally got a name from Lori to take to the temple. I found it this morning....

We have a 1st grader, 8th grader, sophomore, and senior!! Holy moly!! Here's hoping it’s the best year yet!!
Britten will be in 1st grade and he is duing the dual immersion program. He will be laearing Portuguese. He spends half the day with his teacher that speaks English, then the other half with the teacher that will only speak Portuguese to him,
Becca will be in 8th grade. She's excited for the new school year. She's our most social child. She's looking forward to being in charge at the Drama club!
Kate is a sophmore. School's not her favorite, but she does like being with friends.
Garce is a Senior! I can't believe it!! She got her own car and will be taking her and Kate to school each morning. She only goes every other day because she has work release. She's a manager at the McDonald's. She's a hard worker!!

Becca has been attending a drama summer camp for the past weeks. They were performing Frozen Jr. she made callbacks and was cast as teenage Anna. She learned her parts and had to sing a solo. She’s brave! She did good!! Our whole family was there to support her.

Dustin’s only wish was to have all his kids home. We spent last night together. And, we all went to church and filled a whole bench!! Then, dinner and cake and ice cream...what?! You don’t blow your candles out like that?

My lunch fortune really spoke to me today...learning new things can be frustrating and time consuming. Sometimes, I’m tempted to take shortcuts, but it’s true. They never pay off, and then I’m right back where I was before.

Britten doesn't have amny cousins his age close by. We were so grateful That Kass called and wanted Britten to come spend the day with her, Max, and Evelyn.

The Friend magazine started doing their own Mormonads. And I love it!! Britten saw it and said he wanted to hang it on his door. I asked him why. “So I can remember I can do hard things like fighting monsters and skeletons. And when my friends, Max and Grant, come over, they can read it too.” So, just incase you need to fight monsters and skeletons this week.

Twenty years. That’s the span of these photos. Britten helped me with laundry tonight. He was our only child home tonight. Twenty years ago I spent my time with one kid, folding laundry. Tonight, I did the same thing. Laundry is the first chore I give my kids. Good for sorting and matching, and learning you are part of a family, therefore, you help. Most nights I moan about laundry. Tonight? Tonight, I’m grateful for it. So many years sorting, washing, and folding with little helpers. I hope the two who no longer live in our home remember to do their laundry.

We don't get to see Max a whole lot anymore. He's really Britten's only cousin on Dustin's side that's his age. He does have Kendyl who is a little older. So, when these two get tother thay have lots of fun playing Legos, superheroes, sword fights. and eating poscicles.
