He's been my Valentine for almost 24 years! Interesting fact: we met on Valentine's Day. He asked me out for a date on the weekend, but I couldn't that weekend, so he asked about the next. I was a little leery at first because I had been exposed to his Dustin-ness early on over a phone call for my brother. Apparently, iI was giving the message fast enough, even though my brother was not home yet.
This man is brilliant, energetic, self motivated, PUNCTUAL, hysterical, romantic, organized, and really everything I am not. We often find humor, and frustration, in how different we are. But I have learned so, so much from our situation being this way. I love him, and would not trade our life experinces for anything in this world. Some feel they have found the right person when they can finish each other's sentences. That really doesn't happen at our house, and that's okay! I really am grateful for his perspective on things, even though I often roll my eyes while breathing deep hearing it. We've learned the balance and we're making it work! I choose you everyday, Dustin Merritt! I love you!!
