Zombeo And Juliet

Rebecca has been begging us to start drama classes. Out high school has an awesome program where the high school students put on a a drama camp all year long. You pay the monthly fee and 2 Saturdays out of the month, they all come together for 4-6 hours and get parts in a play and practice. At the end of the school year, they put on their performance. This year it was Zombeo and Juliet.

It has been fun watching her make friends with kids of all ages. The kids in this group really do go out of their way to include everyone. I was really impressed with the high school kids! They thoroughly enjoyed teaching the younger kids and were always so kind.

Becca didn't get a main part, but was part of the singing and dancing cast. Towards the end of the year, they did give her a speaking part. She was so excited! HE goal this coming year is to work hard and get a speaking role. It really is a talent of hers. She has no fear, can sing, and surprising for who her parents are, she can dance! Who knew?
 Way to go, Becca!

Aaron: High School Graduation

Aaron graduated from high school today. I'm proud of him. He graduated with a 3.7 GPA. He has worked since he was 16 and has never fallen behind in school. the last couple months have been rough because he's so ready to be out of school and starting something new.

He plans on getting a degree in Wildlife Biology. He's a hunter, but he loves animals- the weirdest thing, I know! He wants to work for the state in the DWR. It's the perfect job for him. He'll likely start school the beginning of next year. I'm excited for him to start this phase of his life! It's rewarding to see your children mature into adults who offer good to the world.

Rebecca: 6th Grade Graduation

Becca completed elementary school today. She has had a wonderful teacher in Marvalee Anderson. We get to go to church with her too! We love her!

Becca is a smart, hard working girl. We knew she would do well in school since she taught herself to read at age 4. By kindergarten she read at the level of a 5th grader! She has stuck with it when she struggled and accomplished the task of getting straight As for all of elementary. She received the Presidential award for her efforts.

To celebrate, her and I went to lunch. We have a local drive in that we enjoy, Kravers. She's excited for the next school year. She was selected to be an SBO because she was one in 6th grade. Her principle saw Becca's potential as a leader and he ran with it!! they really formed a special bond. We will always be grateful for Mrs. Anderson and Mr. Peterson for helping Becca grow and develp into the young lady that she is!!

Aaron: Seminary Graduation

Another two years has gone by. Another graduation is on the horizon. The first of two happened tonight. Aaron graduated from seminary. My heart is hurting once again. I wish my kids would just stay little, but I know that's not how it works. I wish Aaron the best life has to offer! Each child is different and with that comes different experiences for the opportunity to become the best you possible. Aaron is kind, hard working, and smart. He'll be great at this thing we call life!

A Good, Small World

I received a text from my sister, Lea Ann this morning. It was a photo from Facebook that had traveled to my brother-in-law, Kyle. A lady he worked with in Las Vegas had recently moved to North Carolina. She happened to move into Ryan's area. She posted this on her Facebook page:

She promised to feed my son. People are good!

Aaron's Graduation Pictures

Aaron hates taking pictures. I'm not really sire when that started. As a kid, he would be the fist in front of the camera, always being silly. I did warn him that I would be taking pictures for his graduation announcement. He let me. I think because I told him I wanted to do some hunting pictures. Always willing to hunt, even if it's fake!

We went up the canyon up the street.  The ones that are not hunting were taken by the lake. We live in a beautiful community!

PS We gotten eaten alive by mosquitoes up the canyon!!

The last one tugs at my heart. Another child getting ready to try their wings in life. One of the most gut wrenching/ proud moments of a parent. It's crazy how conflicting your emotions are!! We wish yo the best Aaron!
