Prom 2018

My boys told me they hate school dances and they would not go to them. Well, Aaron's story changed a couple weeks ago. Dustin and I were on a date with friends. We were waiting for our movie to start, and I got a text that said, " BTW, I'm going to prom."

I was confused and looked who it was from. It was form Aaron. I showed Dustin. He was as confused as I was. Aaron has never talked about liking anyone, so I was absolutely curious! Her name is Angel and they have been friends since jr high. He knew how he wanted to ask her, he just needed some help. This was how he asked her:

Then he filled her bedroom with dozens of red SOLO cups filled with candy. She said yes!

Grace's date, Kayden, asked her to prom by filling her room with kisses that ask the question, "Will you go to prom with me?" We love chocolate in our house! She answered him by wrapping up pink balloons that she made look like pigs in a pink box. When he opened it, the pigs floated out of the box. He reply was, "I'll go to prom with you when pigs fly!" It's been so fun doing the promposals and answers!

They double dated together. They went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner, the dance, and then came back to watch movies. For their day date, they went to SeaQuest Aquarium in Layton. It's interactive, so they got to pet animals and feed them too. they loved it!

I'm glad Aaron squeezed in a formal dance before he graduates. And, I look forward to sharing the memories with Grace in the future!
