I don't know where this came from, but....

apparently she has allergies!!
My little Kate is a funny little girl. She comes up with some pretty crazy stuff. A couple of weeks ago a few of us in the family were suffering from allergies. I thought nothing of it til lately. Kate seems to think "allergies" are a little something that influences your choices.
I asked, " Who colored with pencil on the bathroom counter?
Kate replied, "Oh that was me. Sorry mom, my allergies made me do it."
A few days later I found wallpaper torn off her wall. "Kate, did you do this?" I asked.
"Uh, yeah, my allergies made me do it." she answered. I'm getting a little tired of this allergy stuff. Today she colored on Becca's shirt with bright blue crayon. Guess what made her do it? Yep, her allergies. I guess next time your child has done something you don't approve of, stop and think... he/she might be suffering from "allergies."

Kate is soooo cute. You have to admire her imagination. Conner has become quite the artist lately. We have had to throw out all of the markers. He must be suffering from allergies too.

If that's what "allergies" are all about, then I think every kid gets them--they just come up w/different names for it! :) Kate's name for it sure is cute! The dinosaur trip looks like tons of fun. You got so many cute pictures of the trip!

Tiffany has been eating her green marker and she has a wonderful green smile. I finally put it up high after 3 clean ups and the basement stairs too. Kids are so funny!!!

Too cute! Our kids have some very rampant allergies. At least Jessica's still allow her to spell her name correctly so we can identify which one's allergies kicked in and wrote in crayon all over the playroom table!

We are suffering from "allergies" here in Arkansas also! Carly every once in a while gets the desire to color with marker on random things- those dang "allergies" huh?! That's so cute of Kate!

Larae, I can't believe you have 5 kids! And they are all so good looking! I can only hope to be so lucky, to get 5 and have them be that cute! Now that our computer is up and running, I'll fill you in on our latest happenings. Not in one post of course. I'll have lots to say for a while. Our biggest news is that Dustin has officially started the police academy . We are adjusting. The kids are taking it the worst, but I'm not fairing very well either. It has been something I have continually worked on all my life. When I was young and lived Missouri, I was the only member of my Faith. My family was the only members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the whole school. There were a couple of friends who were members of the RLDS (now known as The Community of Christ). I felt a connection with them because at least our religions stemmed from the same founding. Yet, it still was different. I knew this after having conversations with them. A New Chapter In Motherhood

Every now and then I get all sentimental while looking at my kids. Today was one of those days. What sparked it? My 16 year-old walking into the door of his new place of employment! I can't believe one of my kids is old enough to work. Well, old enough to work and get paid by someone other than me.  I'll tell you it was a little like sending him off to his first day of school. I was worried  he'd be nervous. I was worried his boss might be mean. I was worried about what type of people he would be working with. Would they be nice to him? It all seems so silly. He's sixteen, not six! But I'm a mom. Mom's are like that sometimes. I asked Ryan how it was when I picked him up- he's working to save money to drive. He really likes it. He worked the grill and firer. He was burned a couple of times. He said he was slow at first, but by the end of the night had found his groove. I'm glad he enjoys working. I'm glad he's building a good work ethic....
